Paul Reiser, Viola
Bryn Mawr Conservatory of Music Viola FacultyPaul Reiser holds the degrees of Bachelor of Arts from Charter Oak College and Master of Music from the Yale University School of Music. He also studied at the Royal College of Music in London and at the Juilliard School in New York. His major teachers were Szymon Goldberg, Dorothy DeLay, Richard Simon, and Emanuel Hurwitz. He is Principal Second Violin of the Pennsylvania Ballet Orchestra and is a member of the Reading Symphony Orchestra, the Philly Pops, Orchestra 2001, and the Orchestra of the Philadelphia Opera Company. He was formerly the Assistant Concertmaster of the Savannah Symphony and of the Academy of London. He is also a member of the faculty at Settlement Music School.
John Sergovic, Viola
Bryn Mawr Conservatory of Music Viola FacultyJohn Sergovic received the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Violin from the Philadelphia College of the Performing Arts, where he studied with Robert de Pasquale. Earlier, he had studied at the Bryn Mawr Conservatory of Music with its founder, Joseph Barone. His graduate studies were at the Eastman School of Music, where his teachers were Zvi Zeitlin and Charles Castelman. From 1988 until 2006, he taught violin and coached ensembles at the Haverford School. Mr. Sergovic has been a member of the violin faculty at the Bryn Mawr Conservatory of Music since 1983.
